Yes as your system can't handle the emulation layer obviously.
I'll have a new system soon. Prolly in the next 3-4 weeks. Crazy to think you need a PC from after 2006 to play a game from 1997.

1 GB PC5300 RAM.

Then DON'T RUN IT IN DOSBOX. If you think your pc can handle the game,
just format a partition and put dos there and be happy.

Oh man you don't wanna know how badly I was going to bash those specs.....but I held back.....it was an effort let me tell you.
i have dos 72 and i've dl this game through torrent.. i've tried everything listed here (as well as other things) and when i run the xcom3 batch file nothing happens.. nothing 🙁 makes me sad
Try buying it from STEAM.
