I have a question about a configuration before Launch Pad existed...

What file did you edit to get VDMS 2.0.4 to recognize your cd-rom and what line was added/edited? I know you can enable low-level cd-rom support in Launch Pad but I need to know what was done before Launch Pad ever existed.
