Re: Files=

This isn't possible, try loadfix and or reducing memory. See the DOSBox FAQ on this forum. Seems I need to correct the files=100 part. Erik.

Re: Hi Admins - Question

I won't say no... :sly: But one warning though, D.O.G. has close to 500 lines of text to translate so it is a LOT. And with D.O.G. 1.54 on its way it will increase to about 550 lines of text. All Language files are now compatible with the future D.O.G. Text that isn't in the language file is shown …

Re: DosBox FAQ

This can be done by creating a simple "options" file and just check if this file exists. But this flies out of the window with Vista's Program Files ... Anyways can be done, but is it worth the trouble? Erik.

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Thanks MiniMax mm, a DocType... Well, I too ain't a XML developer/designer so I'm building the XML as it comes. It was built in, as there are a lot of DOSBox flavors out, with all their own features. Will see if it is possible to make a DOCType tell a frontend what features the profile's DOSBox had …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

I've finished the XML profile for D.O.G. blending it with the DBGL format. One thing the format should be able to support, is it being compatible with more then one emulator. Therefore I export an emulator part inside each profile. Also the root shouldn't have the same name as its children, …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Haven't been working on the xml profile for a while now. Been too much busy with Open Sourcing D.O.G. (Is now under the Mozilla GPL btw.) and compatibility with Vista (Finished) I think me, rcBlanke and others need to combine forces when it comes to the XML profile. (Didn't collector start a post on …

Re: Unable to install a specific game.

Sorry you're faster then me, had edited my post. The frontends just take away any complexity. So no more shortnames and so on. The frontends need to be started and then you create a profile for the software you want to start. After installing create a new profile for the installed exe. Erik.

Re: Unable to install a specific game.

Try out these frontends, create profiles and you're off. D.O.G. DBGL Also some pointers: Mount a directory to wich the game needs to be installed to, as C:\ and a CD-rom if needed as D:\. Use the SoundBlaster as a first, Gravis as a second. For the rest set the CPU to dynamic and the Cycles to max. …

Re: Duke Nukem 3D and AWE32

And how do I use DirectX, OpenGL or dynamic Core under Dos-box? I don't even know what they do (except that DirectX is in general a good thing to have, so I keep it up to date). Open up C:\Program Files\DOSBox 0.72\DosBox.conf, there you can change all parameters DOSBox uses to setup its environent …

Re: Duke Nukem 3D and AWE32

Are you talking about DOSBox as the emulator called "DOSBox" or the NTVDM DOS emulation of Windows? DOSBox emulates a Sound blaster so use that when setting up Duke Nukem 3D. Also use the dynamic Core and DirectX or OpenGL as the output device. Erik.

Re: Warcraft 2 install error

The Illegal command could have been the cause of a typo like "instal" or something. Edit : To Exit DOSBox you need to type the command Exit. To make it fullscreen you need to edit the conf file with notepad and edit the SDL parameter fullscreen. For the problem with the CDRom, use the mount command …
