it is correct, what mkracher wrote. VL Mode -> max 2 MB, because one RAS output is use as SAUP-input , if chip is running in vl-mode. Yes, Trio64v+ in legacy mode is capable running with 4 MB and VL-Mode. But ! 4 MB DRAM is on Trio-family is really useless with their RAMDAC with only max 135 MHz …

cirrus logic 542x Serie is not comparabel with S3 Trio-Serie S3 Trio in overall better than Cirrus Logic GD542x and GD542x VLB card is cheap and easy to find. -> it make no sense to make card whit this chip. But GD542x ISA card is very attractive option.

I have cleaned up and i found this card (i have forgotten to trowing away) A chance 😀 I ask again after ROM for ATI Mach 32 DRAM ISA aka Graphics Ultra+ ISA . But: ROM must dumped with programmer and not NSSI or similar (because half is shadowed ) Thanks and greetings matt

My guess is that it is EISA, since it uses S3 911 chipset with VRAM. All of the OPTi local bus cards I've seen so far use ET4000AX with DRAM. However, this card is not in the TH99 database, so you're taking a gamble plugging into an EISA board unless you know for certain what it is. Did you look up …

here. Now, i have tweaked board with 486SLC2-50, a bit better performance. It is not great jump from SLC33 to SLC2-50. I believe: Jump to SLC-40 is better.

Upper card... you can dump ROM. (ROM Dump by TL866 and consorte, NSSI-Dump or other solution -> doesn't work, because we need shadowed memory area of ROM) But i don't believe, that it works. It is worth to try. Thanks Matt

ROM from Mach32 VRAM doesn't work on Mach32 DRAM... DRAM-ROM dump on last site is not complete (because shadowed area isn't dumped ) 🙁
