I had a similar problem with a brand new (NOS) ASUS K7M a few years ago. No picture and no boot, just beeps. I created a bootable system floppy disk for BIOS update on another computer, the K7M reflashed itself and problem was solved.

For a year 2000 graphics card I would say the Voodoo5 6000 performs very well. Are there any revisions of the 3dfx Voodoo5 6000 that uses the 355-0026-220 or is it only the 500-0030-00 (early revisions) and 355-0026-320 (late revisions)?

Test another version of CPU-Z. I have an AMD Athlon 1 GHz Slot A with Orion core. With some versions it reports correct but some versions it says its a Pluto core.

K7 is in between Katmai and Coppermine in raw performance. The weak link, though, is the chipset. Neither AMD nor VIA ever really got it quite right. Do the card still work good? I have no problem with my Voodoo5 5500 but I wonder if it's a good idea to recap it before the capacitors start to leak?
