For GLQuake you will need a 3D-capable card. Do not use the ISA Tridents, as they won't even work well in Doom. See if you can find an Nvidia PCI card.

The IBM AT will refuse to POST if your 286 is running above 8 MHz due to an artificial BIOS limitation. IBM didn't want people overclocking their ATs.

I can usually finagle 20% or so off the buy it now price, but sometimes I'll find a seller who won't accept offers that are even slightly lower. What's the point of making your item OBO if you do that?

Pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing 3.3 and 5.0 source also released someday. That will get us a really usable open source DOS. Maybe modern day assembly wizards can improve and optimize it.

Testing in the BIOS. I tried replacing the crystal. No dice. Even tried removing it entirely - same behavior, so it's acting as though it isn't there at all. If I touch one leg of the crystal, or any of the small surface mount components surrounding it, I can stop the clock entirely.
