Find and install a crack. Sometimes old DRM doesn't work on modern Windows and cracking the game is the only way to get it running.

Crazy thought, but have you tried renaming the .exe and then starting the game? Maybe Windows has some built-in compatibility shims for this game which mess things up?

No official soundtracks have been released. What you can do is what others suggested - extract the tracks yourself. I did that in the past using a tool called Game Audio Player. It can also convert the audio files to WAV - you can easily use those to make your own audio CDs.

I have figured it out. The issue was indeed the number of cores. I used Special K tool to spoof the number of cores - now the game thinks there's only 2 and runs like a charm! Case closed!

First, the game won't launch without it. I tried replacing wmaudsdk.dll with a different file (inmm.dll, renamed to wmaudsdk.dll) and after that, the game crashed just before it should display the main menu. It's also the moment when the music should start playing.

As the title says. Is there any solution to get the music working in games like Ford Racing 2 and Test Drive 6? They both use WMA Source Filter to play music, which isn't included in the newer Windows OS. Would it be possible to write a wrapper (something like dgVoodoo 2, but for WMA music)?

Launchbox seems good, but puts a lot of functionality behind its paywall with no free trial. It's not that bad. LaunchBox is pretty decent, I've been using it for several months. It has a lot of useful functions, like grouping your games based on the series they belong to. It can be used to launch both native Windows games as well as emulated ones.

You need to scaling mode to aspect ratio in Nvidia settings, perform scaling on GPU and override scaling mode set by games and programs enabled. Also you have to be on the latest drivers. About that... Can you tell me how I can do this on a laptop with Nvidia Optimus? The scaling options are gone …
