Rammsteiner - You either use VDMSound or you use DOSBox. You don't use both.

Which one do want to use?

Please tell us

  1. If you have made any changes to the DOSBox configuration.
  2. How you mounted the emulated drives.
  3. How you installed the game.
  4. Configured it.
  5. Started it.

I have attached a little file, db-info.bat that I would like you to save as

E:\TAKE2\MILLENIA\db-info.bat

Then change the GAMEXE

from E:\TAKE2\MILLENIA\MIL.BAT
to E:\TAKE2\MILLENIA\db-info.bat

and report back here on the mounted drives, and the configuration settings.

Thanks for the screenshots Rammsteiner. I don't know why the game don't work for you. I suspect it has something to do with the way you installed and configured it.

Would you mind starting all over with the installation of Millenia? But this time, I want you to do it a little different.

Create a folder for the Millenia in your My Documents (Meine dokumenten ?) Something like

E:\Documents and Settings\Rammsteiner\My Documents\DOSBox-games\Millenia

In D-Fend, mount the DOSBox-games\Millenia folder as drive C (not E), and mount your CD-ROM as drive D (not J). After mounting, you should have

Game = EXE: E:\Documents and Settings\Rammsteiner\My Documents\DOSBox-games\Millenia
\MIL.BAT (Letter = C)
Install EXE: J:\INSTALL.EXE (Letter = D)

With C and D mounted, run the installer again.

Another thing: If you press Alt + PrtScr while taking screenshots, you only capture the window, not the whole screen.

And don't save the pictures as JPEG's. Save them as PNG's or GIF's.
