Location: North Carolina 		Mok has created patches to fix a number of issues in the retail releases of the following Wildfire pinball games:

Balls of Steel
Devil's Island Pinball
Kiss Pinball
Dirt Track Racing Pinball
Austin Powers Pinball
Ultimate Pinball Gold

Location: Poland 		Yes, these patches are great. I use the one for Balls of Steel and it fixed instant crashing on my Nvidia 6600GT, and problem with the game running too fast (I wrote about in another thread).
These patches are unofficial and they were created by a programmer from my country. Happy Thanks, Mok.

It is really a shame that some software companies sell their products without any support.

Location: Poland 		I recently installed Win7 64-bit on my computer and unfortunately Balls of Steel is not playable. I installed both patches - 1.3 and unofficial 1.3c but the game runs extremely fast and graphics is garbled, compatibility modes don't improve anything. Really pity, I hope someone finds a solution for that.

EDIT: garbled graphics can be fixed by launching task manager and killing explorer.exe process, but speed problem still remains. Sad

Location: Poland 		Sorry for my third post in row, but it turned out that Mok created 1.3d patch for Balls of Steel, which fixed speed problems on Vista 64-bit. It worked for me on Win7 64-bit, however graphics is still garbled.
But there are 2 workarounds for this:
1. kill explorer.exe process in task manager
or
2. right click on your desktop and choose 'Screen resolution' option, don't do anything just keep that window open and launch the game

Now the game runs perfectly on my computer Happy

NOTE: ddraw fix posted HERE didn't work with this game.

Location: North Carolina 		A VOGONS user named FL_Freak sent me an email last September asking about Mok's patches. Apparently, the links to the Polish site listed in the 3D Realms and Tower of Pin forums are no longer valid. The MediaFire link to the Version 1.3d patch for Balls of Steel posted by Zebius is still valid at the present time.

Since they are fairly small, I am going to repost Mok's patches here (at least the ones that I have). Mok, if you have any objection to posting these again, please let me know.

My apologies to FL_Freak for taking so long to do this, but I didn't get an email notification on your PM for some reason.

If someone has the Ultimate Pinball Gold patch, please post it as well.
