up Dosbox Game Speed...

 Hello,

New to the site and this wonderful emulator and I have a couple of questions. I've downloaded version .65 for "The Elder Scrolls: Arena" and I got it to work

mount c c:\oldgames\
c:
cd arena
arena.bat

And then the game loads yet when I actually begin the game it is EXTREMELY slow and very sluggish. I've heard you need to bump up the speed by the use of Ctrl F12 and Ctrl F8 yet it does not become any smoother. I was just wondering what I am doing wrong and how I can fix it so I can play this great game..

Location: Sweden 		Press CTRL+F12 until you're up to 15,000 - 20,000 cycles. If it doesn't get smooth by then, then your CPU is too slow for the emulation.

 Also set core=dynamic in your config file. This selects the dynamic core, which is much faster, but slightly less compatible. This is possible only if your system is x86-based (i.e. PC or Intel Mac), it doesn't work on PowerPC Macs or other non-x86 systems.

EDIT: read the README to find out how to create a config file.
