Annoying. I only saw one mention of it being a beta on one website. Everywhere else made it out to be a final release. I'll check it out when it's done.

Damn betas.

Installed it yesterday and tried it for a few hours. Seems okay, but it is lacking one feature that is a show-stopper for me: The ability to switch language & spellchecking dictionary in text areas. I participate in forums using 3 different languages, and having to restart a Chrome tab just to switch from English to Swedish is too much. With Firefox, the switch is only a right-click away.

Only XP/Vista compatible. Windows 98 and 2000 users won't be very happy.

Also, it seems it can run on Wine, but it's sloooow.

Time for me to try out the 2000 XP API wrapper!

I tried this morning with version 1.7, but it didn't install. I forced to version 5.1.2600, and forced version reporting, but it still reports that it won't work.

Seems to be working in 2000 now using the 2000 XP Wrapper:

Haven't tried it myself yet.
