I tested LucasArts X-Wing Collector's CD-ROM with both CT3990 and CT3980 (+DB-50XG).

With the CT3990 you didn't have to wait long until there were hanging notes (during the intro already). With digital effects turned off, the problem didn't occur, yet.

With the CT3980 it takes some time playing, but stuck notes definately occur after a while of playing. I also had experienced hanging notes in Privateer 2 with this one.

Under Windows and with certain games both cards seem to work ok. It seems to be a hardware bug that can be affected/fixed by software.

I can confirm the QSound bug using mixerset. With the CT3980 it is always turned on.
