I just tried installing kings quest collection cd version on my xp. the installation gets to about 30% then it asks me to register. i click no and it says it wasnt properly installed. it also said it couldnt install directx? this happened with phantas2 (i'm assuming its with the cd rom games.) Is it possible to run cd rom games from the D: drive in dosbox?

Just install each SCI game from the its own folder on the CDs, not from the collection's setup. For the old AGI games, just copy them to your hard drive and just run the executable of each game from the hard drive (typically SIERRA.COM)
