Is there a reliable way to run Carmageddon (the first part) Win 95 version on Vista x86? I probably won't care about 3dfx support if it's not possible to use, but what is very important for me is being able to run the game at 1280x800 resolution (or run it at its original aspect ratio and zoomed in without stretching (black bars on the left and right)).

I tried running vanilla CARM95.EXE -hires and it does run, however, the view is garbled badly, pretty much unplayable (during the cut scenes too).

I could probably try running the DOS version via DOSBox, but I'm pretty sure the game will be too sluggish to be playable (C2D 1.86GHz laptop).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
