I was reading the wishlist and wasn't really sure if this had exactly been addressed: I'd like to be able to set up shortcuts so that DOSBox runs in the background, and starts games from a shortcut. Is there any kind of scripting that can currently do this?

I did download the D-Fend frontend, and that -does- make it easier, but I'm looking to see if I can make it any more "seamless". Is it possible?

By the way, DOSBox is GREAT! Thanks for such a great app!

I might be wrong, but as i remember it was me who asked for the same thing there what you wish.

Currently the solution is to make some configuration files suitable for your games, then start making usual shortcuts for your games. When you created one, open it's propeties, and at the "executeable" area type in DOSBox with the following parameters:
"c:\program files\dosbox\dosbox.exe" "c:\games\yourgame.com" -exit -conf somesuitableconfig.conf
This should do the job, then double - clicking on the game will run it with DOSBox with the configuration you defined for it.
