Nicht, try going through some of your old games to see if you have any versions of DOS/4GW other than 1.97. Same goes to anyone else. As I've got over 300 games, it'll take me quite a while to go through mine, but hopefully some of you all have less.

Yes, it’s my fault.

Update to DOS/4GW 2.01 at:

The price is just $49 *choke*

Apparently v1.97 was the last "free" version.

At least they have a DOS4/GW FAQ at
http://www.tenberry.com/dos4g/faq/index.htm

Ah well...In that case I guess I've got the big archive. It's just that the majority are rather inaccessible at the moment. I found those three just from a local drive scan. I'm not sure just yet how many versions of DOS4GW there actually were...

I did find this:
http://www.thefreecountry.com/developercity/d … extenders.shtml

Primarily noted these two, as they say they are "drop-in" replacements for DOS4GW:
Pmode/W DOS Extender (link to it's site was broken)
EOS DOS Extender (links to an archive, which apparently must be compiled for use).

Just a little FYI.

Oh, just a note:
Since we're all looking for different versions of the same file, please download this utility and write MD5 checksums for every version that you find.

So far I've found one version of 1.8, one version of 1.92, two versions of 1.95, three versions of 1.97, and one version of 2.01a. I know I have other copies of DOS/4GW, but they are integrated with the program executable, so I can't give them to you. (That said, those are more than likely duplicates of versions I already have separately.)

Something I found rather interesting: NO Sierra games use the DOS/4GW extender. This is probably because all their games have independent parsers (AGI or SCI), but even LEC's VGA SCUMM parser used DOS/4GW!

Yes, it’s my fault.
