Hi all,

After a while I finally got Alien Trilogy working on dosbox (im using D-Fend as a frontend, btw).

However it moves too fast the xenos are EVEN FASTER then in the movies 🤣. I understand this is something old games did when the game speed was tied to the proc. power. Is there something I can do to fix this?

Secondly, I set the game to be windowed at a set resolution. However after the initial DOS commands the game runs at like 640x480 instead of the 1280x1024 I set it to. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Yes, change the emulated CPU cycles in DOSBox:
cycles 30000

I've read on this forum many times that this game is a challenge to run even on "real" hardware. Can't offer any help but I plan on
trying to get it to run using D-Fend also. Please post you're findings here if you don't mind.

that stops the game loading, period.

You can try increasing the cycle count by pressing f12 until the game runs at an acceptable speed. Alien Trilogy is a very buggy game even on actual hardware, so don't worry as dosbox is providing you the real experience 😁
