it's an older socket 462 board with universal agp slot, no ISA slots. got a 850mhz duron in it.
both hard drives inside were broken.

I plugged in a hard drive and installed win98se and used hardware info and it tells me:

sis 7305 + 85C503/5513/961 motherboard
onboard graphics: SiS300
network card: SiS900 Fast Ethernet 10/100 LAN

where do I got to get win98SE drivers for this?
I have no idea. 🤣

Open the case and see what motherboard is installed - the model should be written somewhere on it. Then you go driver hunting.

oh it doesn't have it's OEM i did look.

Are you sure it isn't a SIS 735 chipset like the ECS K7S5A ? Is the SIS300 video onboard or a AGP card ?
I have the old w95/98/2k drivers CD from my ECS ... posted here: https://archive.org/details/ecs-k-7-s-5-a-cd-6-2-s-driver-cd (note: you cannot browse content for some reason)
it has the SIS735 chipset and SIS900 LAN drivers and SIS530/620/630/730 vid drivers plus a bunch of others.....
For the SIS300 you probably need this: https://us.driverscollection.com/?file_id=14164

You have probably noticed... there are at least 8 bad caps. This will make the board unstable.

You can also try some sys info program to identify the motherboard - AIDA32 for Windows or AIDA16, NSSI for DOS.

Requests are also possible... /msg kixs

yeah i noticed the leaky caps, it still works though, i did use hwinfo already.

Yeah Win98 is not that good at detecting proper, there is no SIS7305 chipset AFAIK but there is a 730, 733 and 735. The Hardware ID's would help a lot....
It look like a PCchips M810LMR v3 or close like this (some had full dip bios other had plcc), it has the SIS730 chipset:

I think, it is not 7305, but 730s chipset - single chip solution from SiS. Drivers you can obtain here: http://w3.sis.com/download/

tells us everything we need to know. Many of those other SIS items (SIS PCI-ISA bridge, SiS A.G.P. Controller/Video, SIS USB, SIS IDE) are internal parts of the SIS730 "Single chip solution"
the only items outside of that chip is the sound, lan and AMR modem.....and possibly the ITE IDE interface chip....

I think, it is not 7305, but 730s chipset - single chip solution from SiS. Drivers you can obtain here: http://w3.sis.com/download/

Member Horun was faster:)

thanks when i go to the sis site i don't see chipset driver download i see:

The chipset INF drivers are in the AGP drivers....according to the PCchips and Amptron archive you want SIS AGP v1.16 or agp116a.exe not the newer v2.x version
The audio: Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_7018 comes up as C-Media AC97 Audio Device,
The video: Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_6300 comes up as SIS630/730. Driver 630_206_s.zip should work for the onboard...
have some of those in my archives, will dig them out

SIS AGP chipset v1.16a and SIS 630 206 video driver.
You must use 7zip or Winrar to decompress them, winzip will not !!

added here is the driver list for same m810LMR board but sold by Amptron under the K7-810LM label....
https://web.archive.org/web/20020806064856/ht … p?name=K7-810LM

note the driver names and versions, the actual download mostly do not work....

added: I think all the drivers you need are on that CD in the \SIS folder, the AMR modem driver is in \Peripheral
