also why is it that the turtle beach branded ones are the only ones to working with turtle beach driver and software?
is that right?

I already have a green pcb vortex2 soundcard that is a DELL OEM version that didn't work with turtle beach drivers.

MSI MS-6734 KM3M mobo / Athlon XP 3000+ /512mb ddr1 ram
Voodoo 3 3000 PCI @185mhz / Aureal vortex 2 (dell oem)
3dfx ref. drivers win98se and dual boot with winXP-32 bit running amigasport 3.0 3dfx drivers oc'd with koolsmokey's V.Control in XP

There is no identifiable information at all on that card. Nothing. Given the PCB color, it looks like an OEM board of some kind, but I couldn't tell you what OEM it would be associated with. The design matches the regular, branded cards that we've seen many times. Without pulling a Windows hardware ID from the card, I can't really give you anything more.

okay thanks, I will have to install it sometime and see, I'll post hwinfo.

A very minimal AU8830 implementation. No daughterboard header. Lots of unused pads. I don't think you'd find it in an OEM system. More like a eBay special or brown box thing from a computer store.

I remember some "new" cards popping up on eBay (and maybe Aliexpress) that looked like that a few years ago. I think they were actually new cards made with old stock chips.
