How rare are permedia 1 cards in AGP form?

Wow I have never seen AGP version of Permedia 1 card! I read a lot of materials regarding this chip and I haven't found any information about support of AGP - in fact it was advertised as graphics chip with "glueless PCI Interface" which means that not all chips of the time were designed to take full advantage of PCI bus. TVP4010 is permedia 1 produced by Texas Instruments. I saw this card in PCI version. Did you perform any test in Windows? How is it visible in device manager and display properties?

I wouldn't be surprised if it is "Voodoo3" levels of AGP compatibility... i.e. uses it as a glorified 66MHz PCI slot. Still very useful for not using up a PCI slot (which is useful for other stuff).

Should be just as slow as PCI slot permedia 1 from what I suspect.
As soon as I get an system running on the P2B-DS I will test it with additional programs. The card was very picky and does not want to work in an slot above AGP 2x , 1x.

Should it not use default Permedia drivers?

Winquake works nice, GLQuake is either broken (all white) or really crappy looking with Compress Textures enabled (and even more crappy looking with other options enabled).
I have also recorded an video of Final reality benchmark with my Nokia N95 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kI2od0fWRxw

It is interesting that the Permedia 1 only displayed 66.67% , 2/3rds , of video information. Comparison to Diamond Monster 3D and Hercules Stingray 128/3D 8MB :
