Mighty be, I'm no expert 😀
I can only guess because i don't know what are you using to achieve playback.

Also, after testing TMIDI out a bit with VMS it appears to be very responsive. Plays MIDIs instantly with no delay nor skipping/clipping. Also song time position changing is very fast and responsive too.

Hey, I recently tested out your soundfont with BASSMIDI. Really nice.

Glad you liked my (not so)humble SoundFont creation 😀

I even made a recording of it here which showcases its strong parts quite well imo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqaG0YDZvEo

Sounds good 😀

But I have one gripe about it. It seems like when an instrument plays for the first time the samples have to be loaded with a slight delay and popping noise, so the MIDI needs to be played two times to listen to it properly. Do you know anything about that problem?

You might try adjusting the buffer sliders on the "Advanced" tab of the BASSMIDI Driver Utility. That being said, you might post a message here -> http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php … showtopic=87639 ... that's the message thread that the authors of the BASSMIDI Driver ("MudLord" and "Kode54") frequent 😀
