what is your dosbox version and where have you got it from?
what is your Operating System?
what are your PC specifications?
post your exact mountings
post what is written after you mounted
post content of "DOSBox Status Window"
enclose your dosbox's config file
is this a cd game?

My dosbox version is 0.73 and i got it of this site
my operating system is windows 7 home premium
processer is a pentium dual core t4400
3 g of ram
and a conexant high definition smart audio 221 sound card

i mount both c:\ (hard drive)
f:\ (cd drive)

then i install the game from the disc doing f:\install
it installs on c:\

to play the game i type simon while on c:\

The game plays

after i exit out of dosbox and go back in i mount c:\ again and type Simon and the following displays in the dosbox

Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16 - copyright (c) 1994, THE audio solution:3.40
EMS exists
XMS exists
UMB linked.
Sound driver unloaded
nothing comes up in the status window
the con fig file i suppose would be C:\SIMON>

the game is a cd game but installs on the hard drive but is a ms-dos game

i hope that's the info you wanted

Note 1: It is highly recommended that you always use C and D for the emulated drives. It doesn't matter what your real drives are.

If your "DOSBox stuff\MyGame" folder is located on say your real F-drive, then do a mount C "F:\DOSBox stuff\MyGame"
If your real CD-ROM drive is E:, then do a mount D "E:\" -t cdrom

Note 2: Unless you are prepared to re-install and re-configure the game, DO NOT CHANGE the way you mount the C and D drives for this particular game.

As robertmo said it works splendid in DOSBox

Well, if Mr. Antnyhay is having that much trouble, it doesn't work that splendidly.

Besides, the "fast" mode offered by ScummVM in this particular case apparently makes for a much more pleasant gaming experience.

He didn't answer yet if the given recommendations work. So doesn't sound like too much trouble.

You could play some latest 3d shooter if you want pleasant gaming experience.
