Let me introduce a game that requires LPT1 to operate: This is Quest for fame. It is an old but really funny game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quest_for_Fame), and because of its age, I am not able to run it on my computer. Currently the only way to run this game to buy a retro machine and install it onto win3.11 or win95.
This game uses a special device called VPick, a virtual pickup, that connected to LPT1. I have tried a patch using porttalk to emulate LPT1. This helps the game to recognise that VPick is connected, but can not operate it as it requires interrupt, that the patch does not support.
Does anybody have any idea of how to operate lpt1 with interrupt, or to support VPick in Quest For Fame somehow?
