When the screen does a 'fade to black' in both The 7th Guest AND Prisoner of ice, emulation slows WAY down. Everyting runs as expected (fast) in windowed mode. As if suddenly my computer is not fast enough.

Video config is this:

render=surface
resolution=default
scaler=advinterp2x

Thats it. All else is default. No fullfixed or aspect correction.

Athlon64 X2 3800 OC'd to 2.10 ghz.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hello, I've got a similar problem with the first Discworld game... Every time I change places, the fadeout is very slowly and before it fades to the next screen, it first stays black until something happens or the mouse is moved... when something happens or the mouse is moved at the position where it happens, the screen gets to the picture it should view normally, but only at this specific location... the rest still stays black...
I tried it with output=overlay but nothing changed...

Help pls

I've noticed this or something similar on various games. Tyrian2K for example. Parts of the screen don't get updated properly after fading, or at least there's a delay before they do, and there's major slowdown during the fade. Only seems to happen with surface output mode for me though. Overlay and ddraw are fine and I'm pretty sure OpenGL is too.
