I just recently picked this game up so I haven't gotten far but I'm able to leave the house and attack the newspaper boy without any problems...It seems to be working for me with just the typical DOSbox config / install procedure...I did make images of the discs if that helps at all...

Also playing from X:\games\merit\harvster so I didn't have to install it in the root either.

What Tracido says is true, I had the same crashing problem of the mirror image of Steven (and the newspaper boy, and all of those encounters where you attack a NPC).

However, it is not really about the installation, it is about the root when mounting the files (did several tests recently), you need to mount C: drive to Harvester folder itself, so you can just run "harvest.exe" directly from C: . This is what solves it, strangely. Oh, and I am playing with images (isos, not directly from CD) so it doesn't have anything to do with it being -t cdrom or -t iso.
