I can't get F6 to work as normal using the keymapper

Nothing happens when I use the F6 key. I tried to make it work as F6 in the keymapper but I can't get it to work.

I used Norton Commander to check the key and also a cad program and F6 just isn't there.

F6 works normally outside of Dosbox.

Keymapper is confusing as I have found conflicting instructions on how to use it.

Also, one m9re question about the keymapper:

I would like to remap the Escape key to ^c. Is it possible to remap a key to a combination like that?

Any keymapper experts out there?

I managed to get F6 back and workin normally.

Now I want to have F6 activated by pressing the Escape key.

The keymapper says it is but it actually isn't.

How would one have F6 key activated when Escape key is pressed?

I'm saving the kemapper after assigning F6 to the Escape Key.

The most common mistake is doing the binding backwards -- you should select the emulated event first. In this case, click the F6 button on the mapper interface, then click the Add button, then press the Escape key on your real keyboard to bind it to the event. You might want to delete the Escape event bound to the Escape key, or bind the Escape event to some other key, otherwise you'll get both Escape and F6 events when you press the Escape key.
