I am using dosbox 0.74 run a clipper program. Mode of running is that a php page will call a script which in turn run the dosbox. However i got an error "Can't init SDL No available video device". How do I resolve this. Thanks in advance.

Not reasonably (without writing code).
As has been suggested so many many times here, if you have an application that is not a game, and requires DOS mode, there are a variety of exceptional free programs to complete your task (DOSEMU, Bochs, VirtualPC + FreeDos, etc etc).
I'm pretty sure most DOS games require a display...
