This is about DOSbox. I used to have DOSbox 63 and it worked extremely well. I read that DOSbox 72 was the way to go, and I might even be able to play Ripper again! WOW. I uninstalled my old 63 and installed the shiny new 72. NOW, not only can I NOT play Ripper, I can't even play Under A killing Moon OR Pandora Directive, though both had been performing very well with Dosbox 63. Can anyone help me before I go insane with the lack of Tex Murphy in my life?

0.72 uses the new dynamic core, allowing for a TON more cycles and such. It also tries to guess how many cycles a game needs by default. Try changing "core=auto" to "core=dynamic" and "cycles=auto" to "cycles=max". Most games post-386 will run incredibly well this way. If that doesn't do it, gimme' some more info and I can try to help.

You could simply install 0.63 alongside 0.72.
