Can a bat file or something be written so you dont need to right click the .exe and select run in, in other words can I make a shortcut for the kids in the start menu allowing the game to be run in VDMS mode?

When I insert a "game.exe" line inside a copie of VDMSRUN.bat, i will have no digital sound effects, only midi!?!?

If i use the VDMS Windows rightclick option everything goes fine. Why?

How can i use the same VDMS rightclick settings in a BAT file?
What goes wrong?

Create a shortcut to the program you want to run.

Right click the shortcut.

Select Properties from the drop-down menu.

Click on the Program tab at the top.

Replace the text in Cmd Line: with

%VDMSpath%\VDMSRun.bat <whatever.exe or .com or .bat>

Whatever.exe/com/bat = whatever file was already there.

Click apply.

Click OK.

Double click the shortcut.

Where's the sport in that?!?!

I do it as a throw over from Pre-Launchpad days. I have 2 basic shortcuts (one for normal mode, and one for mt2gm), and 2 .ini files (same as above). I just copy and paste command lines into new shortcuts 😜 :->
