Re: Quest for Glory IV installation problems

You might find this page helpful: http://www.tawmis.com/collector/Patches-Updates/DOSBoxInstallers.html There is an installer for the Quest for Glory IV CD for DOSBox on this page (I don't know if the Anthology CD would change anything here). There's also advice there for Vista users saying not to …

Re: What game(s) are you playing right now?

in Milliways
It's not bad but it has not got the feeling of old nice point & click classical adventures. The movement between locations seems a little chaotic to me but, on the other hand, I have a very bad orientation sense. The story isn't bad. I do not like people graphics at all, but the backgrounds are …

Dracula 3: The path of dragon (or trail of dragon. I have translated it literally from Spanish). How do you like it so far? This is on my to-buy list; it was just released in North America in the last day or so. I'm currently playing Dragonriders of Pern on Windows XP, Vampire Diaries in Virtual PC …

Re: 10.000.000

I had at least two hundred games that were good for nothing but collecting dust until DOSBox came along. You guys are my heroes. Congratulations DOSBox team!! 😀

Re: Atlantis: The lost tales

Thank you; I tried that, and it does help some. What really deters me from trying to play the game this way, though, is that if I recall correctly there is at least one timed puzzle that needs to be executed swiftly; I have a feeling that could prove to be quite problematic. I played this game when …

Re: Atlantis: The lost tales

I upped the mouse sensitivity in the DOSBox configuration file to a higher value and that helped somewhat with this problem, but the game still ran somewhat slowly and it wasn't really playable. I then tried the game in Virtual PC and the game runs okay with that, but the character movement/ …

Re: Bought these games today

in Milliways
I think you paid a good price for a real collectible game. Amazon Marketplace has two people selling this, boxed, one for around $200 and the other for around $600. The CD/jewel-case and manuals without boxes are going for around $100. I buy a lot of older/collectible games on eBay. I'm still …

Re: Druid Daemons of the Mind in DOSBox

This isn't the first time you have helped me, and I thank you so very much for this information!! I can't BELIEVE I have been stuck on this ridiculous problem for so long when all I had to do was click the mouse!! Here I had been trying to hit enter, the space bar, escape, everything BUT clicking …

Re: Toonstruck

in Milliways
Toonstruck is one of my favorites. It has Christopher Lloyd, full-motion video, fun puzzles, it's graphically pleasing, AND it runs in DOSBox 0.72; it doesn't get much better than that. 😀

Re: AMBER Journeys Beyond

in Windows
Wow, wow, and triple wow!! I will refrain from spreading this news as I know you are still working on this, but it sounds like the future of Amber on Windows XP/Vista is in your hands. The gaming world awaits for further developments. 😀

Re: Story book weaver classic edition

I have a lot of DOS games, but I don't have this one, unfortunately, or else I would check it out myself. I noticed this here (assuming this is the same game we are talking about): http://www.dosbox.com/comp_list.php?showID=2567&letter=S&begaming_website_session=69f1b92d131c886c1eb5bcd1343d725f …

Re: Story book weaver classic edition

Is this the game you are talking about it? If so, are you trying to run it in DOSBox? Because it would appear from this link that it is a Windows game: http://support.broderbund.com/faq_list.asp?id=483 There are some suggestions there about getting the game running properly, as well.
