Another game that *seems* to me to be out of tune is gabriel knight (1). I don't have a real mt32 to test it. But the game sounds real bad. The install said it install new soundfounts into the mt32.

Can't you keep the setting in the config file? But instead of a bat file inicializing the sdl code, do it so the dosbox executable does? On second thought probably much uglier dosbox code, anyway. Forget it.

I think zsnes dos is the only one with a debugger yet. And since dosbox can run on mac and zsnes can't ... well ... this is only one example, i'm sure there are more.

Might be it wasn't needed, however it worked for me. And it true that the dos version is more stable. Use that one (I hate win95 designed games >.<).

In my experience, running MO2 on a XP system has no problems whatsoever with the DOS version (compatibility wizard set to Win98). However the Win version is crash prone even after the patch, which you should get.
