Re: An All New World of Lemmings

in DOS
Thx m8, I'll take a look at those configs when I'm more awake (It's been a loooong day.... *sigh*) I think both L3 and L2 are 2 of the pickiest DOS games I've come across when it comes to configarations, everything has to be 'just so' or they throw a major wobbler. ALNWOL was really just me reliving …

Re: An All New World of Lemmings

in DOS
An update: I have managed to get the game to run under Windows 95 OEM (my old PC) by doing the following: (F8 on boot then step by step startup mode) Load registry, setver.exe, ifshlp.sys, Windows GUI & Windows drivers and ONLY the following lines in my cfg files: Config.sys: DEVICE=C:\Windows\Himem …

An All New World of Lemmings

in DOS
Has anyone had any success with this title? (called Lemmings Chronicles in the US I'm told). I've tried running it under native NT dos box, with VDMSound and in Dosbox 0.56. In dosbox the install program runs but when I try to load the game dosbox crashes with an 'unsupported feature' error (I'm not …

Re: Lemmings

1. Run vgalemmi.exe with VDMSound. 2. Select a VGA game and Tandy / PC Compatibles **Note: The flickering still remains occasionally within the menu's, and sound is lagged for the first few seconds after loading a level. Let me know how you get on! 😀

Re: Windows vers of Mech 2 games....

in DOS
I have the 'Essential Collections' version of the game on CD-ROM (not sure if it's the same as the orginal but the following guide should help you): 1. Find and run MINST.EXE on the CD. (Don't use any extenstions such as VDMSound or nolfb etc yet, just run it straight from windows explorer or from …

Re: Blood problems

in DOS
Well I'll try CLI2NOP and see if that helps, thanks for the suggestion anyhow. If it's a problem with how the game itself processes the sound, rather than anything driver/hardware related, why can Comreak manage to get decent FX performance with tweaking and I can't? (Since we're both running the …

Re: Blood problems

in DOS
I have a simlar problem to Comreak (I'm running the Shareware 1.11 version). Example: On *any* level and even when running demos in the menu background, the game runs at normal speed for a few seconds then the game slows to a crawl momentarily (input lags, SFX stutters, Music tempo drops etc), then …
