windows 98se behaves differently than win11 win98se changes irqs according to bios changes. so they are the same in dos and win98se unless of course they are not assigned in bios, than win98se assigns them of course.

I configured bios so that all assignable devices listed irq 7 (smbus, usb, usb, sata, sata, sata, ide, net, sound, sound, gfx), only firewire got NA. But in windows 11 in device manager all irqs were unchanged. So you can have different irqs for devices in dos and windows (at least win11)

Rendition boards should be able to use any irq that the bios or os assignes to them: that can be also forced in bios or os. It should be any assignable irq: 3,4,5,7,9,10,11,12,14,15. Maybe even irq6 on later boards without floppy controller.

that is the theory cause in practice i got one device not assigned with non pnp os selected and 4 devices not assigned with pnp os selected lots of devices have assigned irqs in both cases anyway (board is from 2006) also what i said is for real dos. i don't know what happens with all different …

If you select that you have a plug and play operating system, irqs will not be assigned by bios and only assigned by windows. boot process will list pci devices with irq number NA (not assigned/not available i think) so i guess DOS won't use IRQs for PCI devices

you can change cards irq in bios by "reserving for legacy/isa cards" the irq the card uses right now

Some games don't even have a youtube walkthrough (even in a cpu software mode) tank commander havoc icehawk purevex nirgends or mobygames screenshots from further levels some don't even have a mobygames entry
