DOSBox forum....DOSBox forum.... As for your problem, I don't know. I had a similar problem with Full Throttle and I couldn't get that to save either.

Yeah, it's too bad, too. Some of the older DOS games have soundtracks that sound better on MIDI modules than some of the newer digital ones. Granted not many, but still. It's cool to have these external beauties 😁.

Might be just bad simulation or something. It techincally "supports" it but as far as compatibility goes, it doesn't do the job.

ScummVM is indeed the easier way to do it, but if you're playing the DOS versions, to find out the switches for that particular game just type the executable for the game and add a " ? " or " /? Easy way to figure out: Does your copy have text? The CD version had voices and no text and the disk versions had text and no voices. There was no version that had both so that's how you'd know right there.

Yes that's where I downloaded it from. That's the version that doesn't seem to work. It might be that it is simply a native Win95 card and can't be used (properly) in DOS or Win 3.1 (although it works fine in Win 3.1). I may just have to go back to my old DX2/66, sadly..

Eureka! I downloaded a "VESA.EXE" from that website with the information and when I run it all my SVGA games work flawlessly. Guess all I needed was a DOS driver. I got SQ6 and Warcraft 2 running fine so far 😀. Thanks!

Yes I've used them all. I tried doing a clean install from the CD for SQ4 and it worked fine. I think it was all the speed and SB16 patches that wouldn't let the audio work at all. I haven't tried it with SQ5 yet, but I'm sure that's it as well. It's too bad as New Rising Sun's patches were far …
