Re: Any Extended 3Dnow video players out there?

I have posted you mplayer with gui that has 3dnow support, i see it should support Windows NT OS as well (like XP is), H264 DXVA videocard support maybe missing from it and you need it for all slow and old cpus, without it, it will be slideshow for h264 1080p, did you try it out? https://www.upload. …

Re: Any Extended 3Dnow video players out there?

I have used P-III and ATi Radeon HD2400 with XBMCBuntu and 1080p h264 media files + bluray disks over hdmi, it was smooth as butter (video+audio) and it worked with Windows XP as well, also Nvidia Geforce 7600GT can playback h264 @ 1080p with hardware support.K6 can playback dvd and divx/xvid codec …

Re: Table Fog & 8-bit Paletted Textures

One screenshot with the paletted texture option enabled in the Rage128 Pro D3D menu and other screenshot it is disabled. Looks good! I've updated the wiki page to reflect your findings. Paletted textures work with many Rage128 drivers, thats good. Latest 4.13.8006 Rage128P Win9x driver also work …

Re: Table Fog & 8-bit Paletted Textures

I already did, i was not able to add more attachment to one post, here is one more desktop picture with FF8 config. In game colors i also make screenshot if needed, but it looked ok to me. I always prefer to look at the in-game screenshot as well. Some cards fake paletted texture support in the …

Re: Table Fog & 8-bit Paletted Textures

ATi Rage 128 Pro does support paletted textures very well with Win9x, i have tested some DX6 4.11.xxxx and DX7 4.12.xxxx drivers out and they work. Added one 4.11.6745 driver here, that works, just enable paletted textures from D3D menu and thats it, all the magic comes from Ati3draa.dl_ (Ati3draa. …

Re: Table Fog & 8-bit Paletted Textures

In summary, the Rage 128 Pro does not appear to support paletted textures. It may have some sort of partial support for table fog, but it renders the effect inaccurately, at least when driver version 4.13.7192 is used. If anyone else had a different experience with this card, possibly using older …

Re: Table Fog & 8-bit Paletted Textures

Rage3 4.13.xxxx (directx8/8.1 drivers) will not work out of the box for 8-bit Paletted Textures. All Directx6 and Directx7 Rage3 drivers seems to work with 8-bit Paletted Textures. Latest working drivers are M6.11.1xx ones - DirectX 7 based. The latest one at the moment is M6.11.125 (4.12.2173) . …

Re: Table Fog & 8-bit Paletted Textures

Got this ATi Rage XL today and I wanted to test its legacy feature set. It seems that support for paletted textures and table fog varies depending on the driver version. Avoid the latest driver from 2002, as that one supports neither of these things. I ended up using W98_RXL_4_12_2647.exe from …

Re: Proprietary 3D API's

I share 3dcif working ati2drab files or driver soon, still the winme or any other Rage XL PCI compbatible drv is missing from the final puzzle at the moment (faulty colored picture in the game with them).https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?p=1247550#p1247550 Edit1: Here is one of the Spadina driver …

Re: ATi RagePro OpenGL files

Someone please explain why there is two ICD versions of the same 4.12.1107 OpenGL file that have different size and performance (both, V1 and V2 are from latest Rage3 DX81 drivers package).ATOGLRP9.DLL 1107 V2 is the latest, added both 4.12.1107 Rage3 OpenGL files here to download, check the new V2 …
