Just tested it on my AWE64 and same issue! So I am pretty it's sloppy programming. Got the same sounds when I ran Doom after playing Duke 3D. So all is good! It's NOT all good LULZ !! I get this strange squealing, screeching, nails running down a chalkboard, static, hissing sound at random. Reboot and it's gone. One way I've recreated this is to run Duke Nukem 3D, exit out.. I have tested several riva128 cards and all were vesa3.0 compliant, the Duke3d high-res modes worked as-is, no need for a tsr. I don't see why the tnt2 would want a tsr, unless nvidia cheaped out and cut off the bios extensions? I ended up manually configuring VESA parameters in DUKE3D.CFG, BLOOD. …

FIXED!! SET BLASTER variable had to be set in KQ5.bat. I'm not sure why having it in the DOSSTART.BAT isn't enough. I even tried adding it to the end, but that didn't work. I had one of these systems back in 1996-1997. It was a 233MMX with 16/32MB? RAM. The little CD holder on top was a nice touch 😀 The thing weighed a freaking ton though!

Looking in the MegaRace 2 setup I noticed the highest address setting is 250, while mine is set to 260. EDIT: I got MR2 working.. dropped my address to A240 : E640 In fact.. All my games are working with sound EXCEPT KQ5
