eGad is your friend. I've generally been able to score nice 20-pin ATX 400+ watt units, like Chieftec, for around $15 shipped to me.

That 2400a looks sweeeeeeeeeeet. Too bad I just re-did my Ultimate Win98 machine w/ a Promise SATA TX4 card. I invested in a bunch of SATA drives and didn't really need to.... 😢

Anybody got a pdf laying around for the original PL-54C/MMX? I've got one for a Socket 4 and needing to know jumper settings to try and max it out as much as possible.

Those Dallas chips can still be found on-line very cheaply...wouldn't hurt to have 2-3 on hand if you were that worried about. In addition, you can carve out the plastic, disconnect the on-board battery and solder in a coil cell holder+battery. I did on an old 386 many moons ago.

Don't know, I've always drawn air "up" through the heatsink on all my coolers, ever. I just thought that seemed to make more sense to me....kind of like the engine fan on a car, I guess.

I really like those fans. They have a thermistor or something that varies RPM with temp. I bought a bunch off of eGad and use them whenever a nice 60mm fan is required (and I have space).

I'm running WinMe on this system. The RAID 0 was accidental, I originally intended to run a system + games volume separately but for some reason I did the setup wrong and wound up with 2 in RAID 0. I just scored a Seagate Medalist Pro 4.5GB 7200-rpm drive. Should be a nice addition to my 1997-ish Socket7 PC. Windows95 OSR2.5 here I come!

Don't know if what I have is mil-spec or not, but it did come with a backing plate to mount some other sort of heatsink onto the CPU. I put the plastic one on so I can use it w/ my Thermaltake.

Yeah, I know it's DOS overkill, mostly going to be for Win98 and some GLide games. This is a mil-spec Ricoh embedded-type mainboard.
