Re: File extension unassociation tool for Windows 10

in Milliways
Agreed, this has been irking me for a while. They purged out the tools that once let you edit associations appropriately, so now setting up anything but the most basic open a file type with this program associations requires careful registry tweaking. I struggled for a while trying to work out how …

Re: DOSBox SVN Builds

Dude, DOSBox, Nes, Snes, Sega, is all about the pixels, remember how we loved them in the 90s, and still do today. xBRZ is for children who grew up with flash cellphone games... lame. :dead: I was very happy with my Matrox G400 providing bilinear filtering of 320x200 content back then, and continue …

Re: Invert Left/Right Audio Channels Stereo Sound?

I would also love to see swap stereo support. To support my setup with inverted seating for games vs movies I ended up having to physically swap my speakers and then reverse the audio in my media player (i.e. Media Player Classic) the one app that allowed swapping audio channels. I don't understand …

Re: Ancient DOS Games Webshow

Never really understood why the game needed an SVGA mode, considering I haven't really seen much of a difference between it and the regular VGA mode. With the exception of the standard Mode 13h, which is the VGA 320x200 256-colour mode which has special memory handling in place (which is what also …

Re: Help with Destruction Derby

in DOS
I'd guess the most likely cause is that your image did not preserve the label of the disc. There is meta-data on CDs that specifies a name, and some games check that the name matches the published one. I believe the mount command has an additional "-label" parameter that will allow specifying a …
