Tested, beta5 can render correctly with 4 total possible combinations of vid_fullscreen & v1k_nopageflip on real hardware

Maybe blitter V_VBitBlt only used in windowed mode? And while fulscreen patched it's uses swap buffers? Did hexen also behaves that weird fulscreen or windowed? BTW still no power ( Just guessing....

vquake2 fix also touch hexen2 , they probably need to be separated somehow, both not working when r/v1k_nopageflip used. i mean to add to autoexec.cfg this r/v1k_clearcolor 0 , yes those cvars works, its just recommended to use 0 instead of their current values.

also little recommendation cvars for quake and quake2 r_clearcolor 0 v1k_clearcolor 0 0 - is black color, where nothing to draw, makes some custom maps to be less noticeable glitches on them. or while you noclipping )

You right! All three game react to this it's vsync Than vid_wait(s), is just left overs out of software based renderer. Another funny bug By changing fov only sky doesn't change perspective)

Q1 & Q2 seems not have Vsync, hexen2 had _vid_wait_override & vid_wait, those 2 don't have any effects on video card. As suspicious Q1 cvar d_sync nothing doing. I spot that vid_nopageflip 1 cvar, both for quake and hexen2 gives more fps on original hardware, and it's not works in RReady, setting to 1 makes black screen, game not hangs, you can blindly set it back to 0, and everything works again.
