Wow, thanks for the feedback! I'm pretty sure that i was simply more tolerant of this when i was younger and had no choice but to accept it or not play at all! I had the chance over the weekend to try unreal on a Pentium2 333 with a voodoo 2 and 128 mb RAM and it was still jerky! nowhere near as bad …

Hello, I'm trying to play unreal 1 (no patches) on my pentium 166MMX with 12mb voodoo 2 and 128 mb RAM, unfortunately, it is so jerky that it is unplayable! Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll go for the Matrox as I know it has good windows 98 support out of the box. I'll be using it with a 15'' monitor so high resolutions are not an issue!

agreed, I can see some logic in disallowing ALL trades. It's not Linux but have you thought about a BSD? I think NetBSD claims to run on all major known processors including the 386 - wasn't it a deritive of 386BSD originally?
