There is a huge cost in maintenance to go back to .NET Framework 4.0, and 2.0 is downright insane. For starters, VS 2022 doesn't support it anymore. Also .NET 8 (the latest LTS) can trim WinForms apps, so the release, even with the runtime included, is very small. I offer remake this editor on 32 …

Is their a way to add it to Steam and let it be recognized as the base game ? Like an ID shipped within the big box edition ? Is there a FAQ about this on their website ? It's a pretty big oversight if there no solution to this !

Dune (the first Dune game) supports the MT-32 / LAPC I, and does not support General MIDI at all. The MT-32 soundtrack is quite basic, however. Good, but not better than the Adlib version.

Neverwinter Nights runs better on 98 than XP in my experience on a Pentium III PC with 512 MB of RAM, simply because XP takes too much memory for NWN to be run at its best. The difference can be small, however. On 256 MB or lower, 98SE will give you more frames with this game.

I'm glad you liked it, I liked it very much also. I still need to take a look at its sequel (PoE 2), the setting is very different. It was highly praised at the time.

I'm really enjoying it, the attention to detail in every level is insane. The level design is really enjoyable and varied, and the soundtrack is a banger.
