Re: VGA bug DOSbox 0.62/0.63

It could be your graphics card drivers. I've had problems from time to time that I've had to uninstall my nVidia drivers, clean them with Driver Cleaner Pro, and then reinstall them. I just tested it in 0.63 and in the latest CVS and there's no missing sprites.

Re: X-Com TFTD

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/dosbox all versions are listed here. Including win32 builds look for the Win32 in the name. I have an original X-COM:TFTD DOS CD but I haven't tested it in a while and I only use the CVS (meaning latest code) so I dunno how it runs anymore at this moment. /Ieremiou …

Re: In Search Of The Most Amazing Thing

Hmm, I wonder if somebody broke the game when they dumped it or something. It's coded in Basic and you can open it and edit the program I believe. I was able to even get it to play in Windows XP but it crashed at the old man as well with the same error. That EXE program is a version of GW-BASIC. …

Re: What was/were your pre PC machine (or first computer)

My first computer was the Commodore 64 which I messed around on and my dad coded some games for me way back in the mid 80s. Then we got a 386 SX/DX 33mHz with a Turbo Speed Button. I used to play all the fun games like Ultima, Battletech, Mail Order Monsters, and etc on that C64 with 16 COLORS! I …

Re: DOSBox w/ built in MUNT Emulation

Yeah, it sounds weird. I've noticed there is a lot of things commented out and such in the source code so I'm sure there's a lot not done. It also seems to be like around 8 weeks since work has been done on the MUNT source. Personally, Canadacow's (the original MT32 supporting DOSBox) sounds alot …

Re: In Search Of The Most Amazing Thing

If you try the game from the underdogs when you play the game it says to press the spacebar to choose a room and the arrow keys for up an down should move the elevator but none of it seems to work properly. I have no idea how it should work though. I'll try in in Windows Shell to see if it works or …

DOSBox w/ built in MUNT Emulation

Hey guys, Thanks to Gulikoza for giving me the patch to work from to get MT32 emulation into DOSBox. I changed the way he did it some. I split his patch up into two diffs and fixed a few mistakes when he was "#ifdef"ing and "#endif"ing the mt32emu source. I also followed a different procedure in …

Re: Old versions of DosBox

Dunno what exactly the problem is for it to not run but you can generally get the older versions by looking at this http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/dosbox listing on sourceforge. I think DOSBox-0.55.win32.zip would the version you're looking for. Release Versions of 0.50 to 0.63 are listed there. …

Re: DOSBox front end and game auditing idea.

It would be really really hard at least for the present age to do anything about having a real collection of games or to be able to "detect" if you're using a good version of a game. Floppy versions ran off of the HD *generally* exclusively. There are some floppy games that were boot-from-floppy …
