Re: Resolution problem

I see now why that wouldn't work. When I use 800x600 with my config above everything looks alright, but I take it pixels aren't actually right or something? Can I somehow set DOSBox to use aspect=false for windowed mode and aspect=true for full screen?

Re: Resolution problem

How come that DOSBox in windowed mode with 640x480 gives me squished pixels? If 640x480 is the right aspect ratio shouldn't that give me the best results? [sdl] fullscreen=false fulldouble=false fullresolution=0x0 windowresolution=640x480 output=openglnb [dosbox] machine=svga_s3 [render] frameskip=0 …

Re: Soundcard advice for Win 7 Dosbox

I would personally go for a card that can handle latency low enough to lower the blocksize to at least 256. I think any of the Creative X-Fi cards can do this. They're also generally recommended for games. Stay away from built in sound cards for motherboards. I've heard people claiming they are …

Re: Canceling dir/p

Thanks, but you don't have to give me any more tips. I just wanted to check if there was some function or hotkey I didn't know about, or if it was something that had been added recently.

Re: Canceling dir/p

Forgot I posted this :) I know about dir /w /p , but for me it's much easier to read everything in one long list, that's why I not using it. Even with dir /w /p the screen can't cover all and I have to go through three screens. But it's all back to square one again - what is the purpose you're using …

Canceling dir/p

Is there any equivalent to Ctrl + C for the dir command, so I can don't have to go the bottom of the list every time? Right now I have to press a key 14 times before I can get to the bottom and write things, and by then I have forgotten what to write, or didn't know exactly how it was spelled.

Re: Editing DOSBox videos

in Milliways
I think I figured out a way to do it. By cutting the video, save it with full processing mode, open that file, change the audio, save it as something else. This is some extra steps, and it should work by just using direct stream copy. Maybe there's some other program that's better suited for this? …

Re: Editing DOSBox videos

I'm replacing the audio within virtualdub, by setting "audio from other file" and then direct stream copy. Problem is if I re-encode the video with Xvid, cut the beginning and replace the audio, the audio will start a few seconds into the song, for the same amount of time I cut from the video. I …

Re: Editing DOSBox videos

This is more a "how to use virtualdub" problem. Maybe so, but how do I use it then? If I remove 295 frames from the video I made and play it with vlc, nothing in the beginning of the video have been removed. If I remove 300 frames and play it, too many frames has been removed. I just want to remove …

Editing DOSBox videos

in Milliways
Using VirtualDub 1.9.11. I want to cut some parts of a video and replace the music. If I cut or crop the beginning of the video until it looks like I want it to, the parts I cut in the beginning of the video are still there after I saved it. Am I doing something wrong? I have both audio and video to …

Re: Did Dan Froelich compose in stereo?

in Milliways
You could ask him. http://www.danfroelich.com/ Although, I'm not sure if the contract form on the site works. When I clicked submit it only took me to a blank page in both Firefox and IE, and I never got a reply to the mail I sent. He does have some songs under Video Game Music he recorded himself …
