I like how they made it easy to upgrade. Click download and it's done in a few seconds (broadband connection). EDIT: Okay, that apparently was only for IE, for Firefox I need to download an installer. 😒

Do I dare try them? I tried the updated drivers from Windows Update once and that killed my sound pretty good, had to rollback the driver to restore it. Or are these drivers only for the newer chips?

We had a Disney Sound Source back in the days, damn that brings back memories. Although our first PC was almost a beast compared to your 286; 486SX 25MHz, 2MB RAM, 80MB HDD, those were the days.
