Gamepad not working

Hi. I tried using DOSBox with my gamepad again after a couple of years and it doesn't work anymore. I didn't change any settings from the last time. I've actually had a gamepad problem with DOSBox back then, but I thought I resolved it. Now it once again does not work. I have a Logitech Dual Action …

Re: Using USB gamepads

Hmm. I just checked that, specifically, my gamepad is a Logitech Dual Action USB Joystick. Strangely, DOSBox recognized it as a 4axis type of joystick. It didn't work with the games. But changing the joysticktype in conf to 2axis and setting the 4 options below it to false (as was pointed out in a …

Using USB gamepads

Does DOSBox support USB gamepads alright? I have a Logitech-brand gamepad (sorry, can't get into the details ATM as I'm away from it); do I simply calibrate it through Windows and run a game in DOSBox that supports joystick? Also, how do I check if DOSBox recognizes the gamepad/joystick?

Duke Nukem 3D problem

Ok, so before locking this, I've already tried everything suggested in the README and it doesn't help. Basically, when I run Duke Nukem 3D through latest DOSBox, I get this error: "Playback failed, possibly due to an invalid or conflicting DMA channel. Make sure the 16-bit DMA channel is correct." …

DOSBox without install?

I remember when I downloaded the earlier versions of DOSBox years back, I could just unzip the program and its contents to a folder. Now, it seems that you can only get it as an install. Is this really the only way, now, to get DOSBox?

DOSBox 0.65

Does anybody have the earlier version of DOSBox, DOSBox 0.65? I want to make a compatibility test to see if this game still works on that earlier version compared to the latest. As well, the download links aren't working for me, so I can't choose the "earlier versions".

Re: Help with Super C

Ok, thanks. Works better now. Can I ask one more thing, though? Sorry to bug much: I have a program called infinity machine. It is a cheat tool of sorts. (I can send it through PM, though a download will be very hard to find). It never seems to work with any other machine setting other than VGA.

Re: Help with Super C

But now I seem to have another problem (and this is only the problem with the tandy machine). The first time I ran Super C under the tandy machine, it worked just fine. Now, when I try to run it, I hear the sounds in the background, but the whole screen is messed up! Basically, the whole screen is …

Re: Help with Super C

Thanks for the help. I don't understand: everytime I run dosbox alone, it shows tandy as the machine. But when I mount Super C (drag the folder into the dosbox icon), the machine becomes vga again! What happened this time?

Re: Help with Super C

No, I did change the setting in the conf text file. I'm using the 0.65 version latest. But if this makes it any easier, when I save the text file with machine=tandy, in DOSBOx when I type machine it still says vga. By the way, you can test this game out yourself: it is freeware/abandonware now and …
