In 32-bit XP with 8 bit color, it crashes in full screen because of SDL (likely SDL_HWPALETTE). It works fine in windowed mode with no corruption. I suggest using svga_s3 though so you can scale the game.

As far as I can tell from searching, all you should have to do is install the game and run the setup. It seems to be cpu intensive so cycles=max and core=dynamic.

@Caustic63, you obviously didn't pay attention to the second post. ctrl-f11 works just fine to lower the speed and can be pressed multiple times to lower it further. ripa wrote: Also, don't use cycles=auto or cycles=max, but cycles=10000 for example instead.

For Windows, programs like joytokey and Xpadder (version 5.3 and older are freeware) would likely be a good choice to use instead. I think these can only work on Wine applications if run from Wine. Maybe try QJoyPad if Linux. I'm not sure about free programs for other operating systems.

They didn't do jack shit for support of these games other than changing config file defaults. CD audio is missing from Dark Forces 2. (I didn't purchase it though.) Steam forums show this information. Direct2Drive doesn't include Dark Forces 2 presumably because of missing cd music.

You do realize that it wasn't the original poster who said he/she had a capitalization issue which means there has been no confirmation about what the problem was. morgwin != Mstrutz (You also get the same copyright error using previous DOSBox versions.)
