FX 5200 i ran it fine on a FX 7600. but that is only a guess, sorry it is slow for you , it is a really fun game and has some killer puzzles.

thanks for the replies, collector i did know about your installers but there is none for Space Quest...not that i see on the page you gave link for. as it was Space Quest that i am working on or was yesterday i did not try them. DOSBOX seems to work indeed, but i do prefer the ease of the start up …

ah ha, it works with DosBox, got the voices going, they are great. 😀 ah well, i guess VDMS just did not want to work with it.... i wonder if there is a way to adjust the music, it is quite basic..and a bit loud but i dont see any place to set volume for it.

Go to Hard Light Productions the best place for the Open Source Freespace project which totaly upgrades the game to modern graphics. Both FS 1 and 2 now run on it, and Turvey's installer is the best way to update and handle the files.
