Funny thing is I was trying to justify getting one of the gameport sidewinders for cheap and I really couldn't do it. I get about 60MB/s with 39160 and p3b-f, but I use 2.5 savvio with SCA adapters because I can't take the noise of faster SCSI drives. There are other of reasons to prefer SCSI though apart from raw speed. You get a lot more drives and external options.

the macintosh SE/30 takes 16mb simms and there is a reasonable market for them the pvi486sp3 only has 2x 72 pin simm slots, so 8mb in each isn't enough IMO

As wireless controllers are available for sega and snes - any hope of supporting these? Also, I use a wireless logitech keyboard on my dos setup.. which will also require powering. Could the USB port be connected to give extra power?

Is there the option of paying for work done re: the interwave? Also, some factories offer semi-assembly with respect to passives.. that might also be something worth exploring. Anyway I'd rather pay than DIY if that's an option.. especially if it helps shock out.

Was there ever any consensus about whether the Epiphan DVI2PCIe was any better than the Datapath Vision? There are some on ebay with free international shipping, which makes a big difference for those outside the US

You don't have to ask.. ebay completed auctions tells you everything you need to know. $150 is a lowball attempt and the guy was right to be offended. Especially when you could turn around and sell it for double the next day.

Well it is a collectors market, but you can get 99% of the functionality almost for free through other means. If you want a MPU, you can run softmpu + a soundblaster If you want an mt32, you can run munt - even configure a raspberry pi to do it if you want the genuine hardware feeling, guess you …

Well given he says commercial use is prohibited - I don't think anybody really wants to make and assemble 50 of these for no reward if someone wants to translate the design to oshpark, I'd say that is the best we can hope for
