Re: NHL '96 for DOS...

OOOKKAAYYY... Now it works fine, but only after I allowed the whole starting sequence to run. It works perfect except for the NHL and NHLPA logos. Wierd, huh? The resolution on the starting video (and in the game itself) isn't nearly as good as I used to get with my Voodoo Rush card, but hey at …

OK, this is just messed. The past couple times I got sound, but no picture... That's wierd. Any idea what might be wrong? 😦

Re: NHL '96 for DOS...

Would I need to make DOS boot disk for that? I did a very long time ago to run Darklands, and it wasn't a lot of fun, to say the least... But I wouldn't have to do that- Or would I? How would I go about booting into pure DOS? In '98 you could go to "Restart in MS-DOS mode", but you can't in ME...

When I installed it, I choes Sound Blaster Pro and when I tested it it worked fine, but in the game it wouldn't... Maybe I have to get a Sound Blaster Pro emulator?

C-Media PCI Audio Legacy Device, I think basically it's a piece of trash... 😠 And yes, this is the PC with ME. How do you get into "real DOS"? I think I'm just using a DOS command prompt, or whatever that window that pops up when you click on it is called...

OK- But I'd rather just run it on DOS... D you have any idea what could be wrong, and could I fix it without having to use DOSBox?

I think my sound card is a C-Media PCI Audio Legacy Device, that's what it says when I check under devices at least...

Re: NHL '96 for DOS...

OK actually I just re-installed it and it runs fine- with two exceptions. One, there's no sound, and two, I can't see the NHL and NHLPA logos at the start, or the video at the start. I'm not sure what sound card I have, the first time I chose "auto detect" it started making this scratching noise in …

Re: NHL '98: I need a Glide wrapper that works with this

Ya I have '99 too, but unfortunately '98 is only for 3Dfx. Every time I turn on 3D acceleration it just stops while the game is loading and goes back to Windows. (Sigh) In that case, do you know a site where I could get a Voodoo card? Which version should I get? I checked on Amazon, and the only one …

Re: NHL '98: I need a Glide wrapper that works with this

I know ME sucks, but my dad likes it for some reason... My friend gave me the CD for Windows 98 SE last week, but my dad doesn't want to install it. (...? Whatever) But I do have a new PC with a Pentium 4 and an Intel 128 mb video card, but I haven't installed NHL '98 on it yet... (Intel video cards …

Re: Glide-forWindows game list

I had a 3Dfx card on my old PC, I think it was a Voodoo Rush card, it was great. When I got a new PC I was only like 10, so I didn't know that I should have saved the graphics card from it. Now that I play games that need 3Dfx cards, the graphics look a lot worse than I remember them being... I …

NHL '98: I need a Glide wrapper that works with this

Does anybody know of a glide wrapper that works with NHL '98? I've tried a few, but none of them worked properly when I turned on the 3D acceleration, it just goes stops and goes back to the desktop... I have 368 megabytes of RAM, a Pentium III 900 mhz, an nVidia Aladdin TNT 2 (16 megabytes), and …
