thx from me too, haven't had time to use this lately as studies are keeping me from gaming much, but am looking forward to using a then much more advanced version than i have been using in the past 😉

seems to me that MacOS doesn't handle/know the "shortcut" ~ as the home directory. Don't know what's used for that though. Maybe someone else can help with that

had a quick look under Gentoo, the windows seem to look alright, the only thing i changed was in the dbgl file, i simply put "java" as executing command without the path, because the location is different at Gentoo (standard is /usr/bin/java). No biggie though, i would include a small readme though …

cool, that did it, thanks :) it was the copying of the swt stuff that was missing for me. I only installed that one globally. One more prolem with that version: The "Add profile" window is not resizable, which makes it difficult to set several settings in some of the tabs, because they are at least …

i have SWT installed through my distributions package management, didn't help though. Hang on, i'll paste the error message i get: startup Could not read settings.conf Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no swt-win32-3232 in java.library.path at java.lang.ClassLoader. …

if you are using KDE in default settings ctrl+number is reserved for switching desktops. Go into the Control Center, look for the keyboard shortcuts and disable the ones that you want to use in DOSBox

how did you two try to start it? I got it to work as far as i can remember (it's been a while) by running it with "./dosboxgui" and not with "tcl dosboxgui" EDIT: oh and also, i was using Ubuntu, so i can say it can be run on Ubuntu 😀

@towerz: want to see screenshots and much more data about games? go to mobygames.com, they have a quite large collection of games in there database, not only for dos but for maaany other systems as well, anyone can contribute 😀
